I Am by RageOfFluffy, literature
Literature
I Am
if I say Yaweh or Allah
or Vishnu or Amun
if I say Ba'al or Zeus or Jupiter
if I speak of Quetzalcoatl
or of Amaterasu
or if I simply say
'the universe'
then it is the same
then I speak the name of all things.

The Prayer of the Edda
Pall my vessel once
And grave't under root
Lest I pass in my father's arms
We beseach thee
For the grasslands and our dreams
For the trees and waters above and below
For sand and stars
For Nulgerheim and Vandlgarr
We abideth thee
For the stone and blood
That cours'd through ancestral hearts
For fire in Oak and Wilgaurd
Bestow'd by thee
For all showers fell
Egal to sow and sea
We inherit thee
In trigon knot
All created belong
Dost thou rapture
All created quake
Dost thou be ravin
O’er wrought by Nihn
Couch us in thy pasture
We shall be with thee
Ydarsil and Thorn
Our lives to perpend the leaves
Until that time see us retire
Lest we f
論
my fondness of you
has grown beyond what can be
understood at all
術
though the sun and moon
are so different indeed
both give us light
波
sail the wide ocean
nowhere will you ever find
another like you
精
there is so much more
understanding between us
than either could think
味
dine with me one day
and we shall look back and smile
what joy you will bring
念
our big universe
bestowed little time on us
in spite we have fun
強
perhaps strength comes from
a star fallen from the sky
that takes human form
恋
only now I truly know
how desperately I want
your love undying

I did not wish to part
with those pages
embroidered with the essences
of every purveyor
who cradled its tattered cover.
Twice a millennia
of stains and scribbles
so richly adorn its leaves.
So many minds
it has inscribed
with its secrets.
So many eyes
have scanned its verses
in awe
but not mine
for it was stolen from me.
I should not have left it.

stop not my eyes
from looking:
the sun blinds me
first
then there is
the familiar sight
my street basking
in cloud filtered light
for one to evoke

such sway
the world over –
oh
that is power
am I surprised
to find no blemish
in the earth
no red sky
or quaking wind
just the morning
birds ever oblivious
dogs barking
callously
trees swaying in the breeze
is it strange
that there are no masses
no songs
no stones
no smoke
just the silence
of the solemnly washed out sky
